David Bennett

Managing Director

David Bennett is a hugely experienced and successful IT professional with over 30 years of experience in a wide range of senior management and consulting roles.  David has a unique background, having worked in large, medium and small professional service firms and technology businesses across multiple sectors.

David has a proven track record for the successful delivery of technology-led projects while having a reputation for taking an innovative yet pragmatic approach.  His key areas of expertise include:

  • IT infrastructure evaluation, design and implementation.

  • Cloud computing strategy and deployment.

  • IT outsourcing, establishing and managing outsource arrangements (near and offshore).


David joined Linklaters in 1993 where he had an extremely successful seventeen years.  During his time at Linklaters, David led the firm’s IT strategy and development functions delivering several significant and challenging initiatives.

David became the firm-wide IT director at Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2010 where he successfully developed and implemented the strategy for the legal industries first ‘total’ cloud services solution.  Most recently David was the CTO at leading accounting practice, Mazars UK where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s IT strategy and the day-to-day management of the IT department, supporting 2500 users in 17 regional and 6 international offices.

As a consultant, David has advised technology businesses including cloud and infrastructure services providers VESK and Inframon, while taking key interim roles as international law firm Olswang and account firm BDO UK.  In both these interim roles, David’s leadership resulted in significant improvements in the quality of IT services delivered to both of those businesses.

One of David’s most challenging but successful consulting projects was the development of an IT strategy and the subsequent implementation of a cloud-based practice management systems for a law firm based in Lusaka Zambia.
